Purchasing Flights

Hello! Guests have begun to purchase flights to Ireland and we so we thought we'd give a little snapshot of what prices are looking like. The following two screenshots are from www.AerLingus.com and show prices as of September 6, 2015. They have redone the website so if given the option, click for the old website to see the prices for the month as depicted below. Otherwise, the new layout is fine, too.

Currently, from Boston or New York to Shannon (10 minutes from the castle), the fare is $695.00 using sample dates of Saturday, May 14 to Thursday, May 19th. It could go higher if flying on the weekend. Generally, this is a good price for these flights.  Please note that there are no flights leaving from or returning to New York on Tuesdays. If you are planning on making a vacation of this trip and want to visit other countries you can still consider doing round trip in and out of Ireland if the price is right and take a flight into another country. Ken and I went from US to Shannon to Brussels, Belgium (via Ryanaire) to visit a couple neighboring countries and then back to Shannon to fly home. Alternatively, you could purchase one ways.  The choice is yours!

On a side note, the exchange rate is pretty good right now. This is from www.xe.com

  2. Try not to be reluctant to book your flight and inn independently. Once in a while you can get a lot on locales like Expedia when you pack your excursion and book flights and inn in the meantime, yet this isn't generally the situation.private charter services
